At Customised Composites we have developed a range of carbon headboards for both dinghies and yachts.  Taking advantage of our modern facilities we are able to manufacture various thicknesses of carbon headboard plates from pre-preg materials that are cured under high pressure to offer a 100% pin hole free surface finish, along with astonishing strength to weight ratios. 

Our plates are then cut to shape and drilled using our 3 axis CNC machine for perfect hole and edge finish on every single cut to produce the best-looking headboard available.

In the build up to the Rio Olympic games we were working in conjunction with North Sails and the British Olympic Squad to develop headboards for Giles Scott's Finn Sail.  The target was to reduce the moment of inertia from the top of the rig, our carbon dinghy headboard is half the weight of any aluminium head board
