Carbon fibre Hybrid flat sheet
We are pleased to offer our Carbon Fibre Hybrid flat sheet. This range of sheets are manufactured from epoxy pre-preg carbon fibre outer layers, top and bottom with an epoxy pre-preg E glass core.
Carbon outer layers ensure the sheet has 80-90% the mechanical performance of a comparable thickness all carbon pre-preg sheet. Due to the increase in fibre to resin ratio offer by pre-preg materials this flat sheet is similar in stiffness and strength to an infused or wet laminate carbon plate.

This material is manufactured in the UK in our bespoke autoclave facility in sheets 2000mm x 1000mm, which are cut into a range of standard sizes. Sheets are supplied with a pin-hole free high gloss finish on ONE or BOTH sides of each sheet.
Thickness offered?
Single Sided plate is supplied with a high gloss pinhole free surface on one side only. The other side of this plate is perfectly flat and pinhole free, but supplied with a textured “peel ply” finish. This plate is ideal if only one side is visible or it is to have parts or components bonded to it.
Double A sided plate is slightly more expensive, but features a high gloss pinhole free woven carbon finish on both sides of the plate.
All of the materials used to manufacture our flat plates are specifically engineered pre-preg materials meeting the most exact standards of weave pattern, strength and stiffness to produce a light weight sheet which is 100% void and pinhole free. The 1mm sheet is ideal for covering any unsightly areas. Used as table tops, camper van lining, head lining for boats, vans and cars, splash backs, to name just a few.
All plates are manufactured with attractive high gloss, pinhole free woven layer on both outside faces with a balanced laminate schedule, making it 100% stable irrelevant of how it is cut.
We can offer the product cut to standard sizes, or cut to custom sizes, please contact us. The sheets are easily cut using standard a standard jigsaw with a ceramic blade. The sheets or cut shapes can be sanded and fastened easily to other surfaces or together using any epoxy or resin adhesive to form light weight, extremely stiff structures.
